After three published issues and two years of focused work online, VERMEER Magazine is now opening the space between the printed page and the exhibition hall. What began as an international magazine for contemporary realism—an invitation to give the good, the true, and the beautiful in painting a voice once more—steps into public view in the fall of 2026: live, concrete, and with an exhibition of its own. “VERMEER on Tour: European Group Show 2026” presents works of (hyper)realist painting by eight selected contemporary artists.

From September 15 to November 15, 2026, the exhibition will be on view in full online on the homepage of VERMEER Magazine. There the works can be encountered in the quiet of the screen—accessible to readers worldwide, independent of travel and fair dates. The online presentation is the heart of “VERMEER on Tour: European Group Show 2026”: it gathers the selected works in a dedicated, editorially shaped space and remains open for two months, while the fairs show excerpts on site.

The EuropArtFair takes place on September 19 and 20 at MECC Maastricht: a professional art fair for individual artists, where visitors can see visual art by more than 100 artists from across Europe—painting, sculpture, glass, photography, and more. The stage in Frankfurt will be larger still. The Discovery Art Fair, the discovery fair for contemporary art, opens on October 29, 2026, and runs from October 30 to November 1 in Hall 1.2 at Messe Frankfurt (City entrance, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1). Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For the ninth time, it brings together more than 100 international exhibitors in the banking and art metropolis—including numerous respected galleries alongside professional artists and independent art projects. The audience is correspondingly broad: collectors, professionals, first-time buyers, and a far larger, internationally drawn public than at many artist-only fairs. In a relaxed, conversational atmosphere, galleries, studios, and viewers meet; originals change hands; conversations begin in front of the works themselves.
