Call for Artists, now open again: Artists are invited to submit their work for consideration

For each issue of VERMEER – International Art Magazine for Contemporary Realism, we curate a special section titled FOCUS. This section highlights selected artists through one outstanding work and an accompanying editorial text.

Two formats – one selection process

FOCUS

One artist is presented over two full pages, featuring one artwork, a short text about the artwork, and a short text about the artist.

FOCUS compact

Several artists are presented together across two pages. Each artist is shown with one artwork and a concise accompanying text.

Both formats are selected through the same open call.

How the submission works

Artists are invited to submit their work for consideration in FOCUS or FOCUS compact. Submission fee: 25 CHF (approx. 24 GBP / 27 EUR / 32 USD. The daily exchange rate will be applied.) The fee covers editorial review and participation in the selection process. Submission does not guarantee publication.

All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team of VERMEER. Selected works are chosen based on artistic quality and relevance to the magazine’s focus.

What to submit

Send an email to  editorial@vermeer-magazine.com with the following required information:

      – Last name, first name

      – Contact details (address, email, phone number)

      – Website

      – 3–5 high-resolution images of your work; captions

         (title, year, size, technique)

      – Text about the submitted artwork (max. 200 words)

      – Text about the artist (max. 200 words)

      – One artwork will be selected for publication.

      – Payment

Publication & visibility

If selected, your work will appear in the printed issue of VERMEER 4, the official VERMEER website, and VERMEER’s Instagram and Facebook channels.

Selected artists will receive a confirmation email from the editorial team.

Important information

Submission deadline: October 30. Only a limited number of pages is available. The submission fee is non-refundable, including in cases where a submission is not selected.
